I have always been interested in art from an early age. I didn’t really start seriously until I attended Macclesfield College in 2002, as a mature student. I studied fine art, printing, sculpture and graphics.
From there I went on to Stockport College to do a foundation course. I had planned to study fine art but ended up studying photography.
I then went on to do a certificate of Higher Education in Documentary and Fine Art photography.
Along the way I have done several mini art courses.

I started off doing representational studies but it never made sense to me. I felt I was just copying, and I would say ‘what’s all that about’ to myself.
Then one day I had a moment of realization, the realization was, that art was drawing and painting what I FELT. That was my turning point, and what I have been doing ever since.

I usually take images of the landscape as I think nature is beautiful and ever changing, the closer you look the more you see, not only in the physical but within yourself
